At Photography by Misty, we specialize in corporate headshots, events, tradeshows, and branding photography for companies big and small. Our team is passionate about people, and we pride ourselves on creating images that help individuals and brands shine with confidence.
We’re seeking a Photography Assistant to join our team. No experience is required — we’ll train the right person. What matters most is reliability, timeliness, and a genuine passion for people. If you’re friendly, organized, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect role for you.
Assist with setup and breakdown of photography equipment (lighting, backdrops, tethering station, etc.).
Welcome and guide clients during sessions, helping them feel at ease.
Support tethered viewing — helping clients select their favorite headshot.
Keep events and sessions on schedule.
Assist photographer with styling adjustments (fixing ties, smoothing jackets, etc.).
Carry and move equipment as needed.
Record client notes and preferences.
No prior photography experience needed.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Friendly, people-first personality.
Comfortable lifting and carrying photography gear.
Flexible schedule — assignments may include early mornings, evenings, or multi-day conventions.
Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
$15/hour starting rate, plus mileage.
Minimum $65 per assignment (if hourly pay does not reach this amount for setup, shoot, and breakdown time).
