About Us
Family Gateway's mission is to provide stability and life-changing supportive services for families with children experiencing homelessness. We serve families in both Dallas and Collin counties who are literally or imminently homeless. We first try to help families avoid a homeless experience, or to quickly exit from the experience with alternatives to shelter. If shelter is needed, we have a family emergency shelter in the City of Dallas/Collin County for families with children. We also support almost 200 units of supportive housing for post-shelter care.
Despite being a regionally-serving organization, we have been recognized in a national best practice publication as well as honored with multiple grants from national funders.
