Principal For a Day - Information Session
Come learn more about Principal For a Day, a collaborative program of the Plano Chamber, the Plano Works Leadership Foundation, the PISD Education Foundation, and Plano ISD, happening on September 18, 2025.
For just a few hours or the full school day, Principal for a Day brings business and civic leaders into Plano ISD campuses to experience a day in the life of a public-school principal.
Principal for a Day is designed to:
- Increase community awareness of Plano ISD’s strengths and opportunities;
- Demonstrate the private sector’s commitment to ensuring a quality public education for all students; and
- Identify opportunities for collaboration between the business community and Plano ISD.
Principal for a Day is an exclusive volunteer opportunity. All participants must submit an application and be approved to serve as a Principal for a Day. A portion of proceeds will be donated back to PISD schools.
Ideal Principal for a Day candidates are business or community leaders with decision-making authority within their respective organization or community, such as C-suite executives and emerging business or community leaders.
